Rainbow Six Siege Starter Edition On PC

31/05/2016 10:00 AM

From June 2nd to June 19th, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Starter Edition is available for £11.99 on PC.

This is a new opportunity for PC players wanting to jump into the Rainbow Six Siege community with the full experience. The Starter Edition gives new players granted access to all the content available in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege: game modes, maps, weapons, level progression, features and matchmaking options, without any restriction or time limitation. The only difference between the Starter Edition and Standard Edition of the game is how you will unlock the 20 Original Operators.

When starting the game, you will have instant access to:

- 2 operators at random selected from a pool the most intuitive operators: Rook, Sledge, Ash, Fuze, Mute or Smoke. The selection is made so that we can guarantee a great Rainbow Six Siege experience from the start.

- 600 R6 Credits that we recommend you spend on 2 additional Original Operators (300 R6 Credits each) to get the most out of the game. By playing the solo situations you will be able to feel for some of the operators and pick the ones that best fit your playstyle.

Then, you can unlock the other Original Operators from the GIGN, SAS, GSG9, SPETNAZ and FBI counter-terrorist units by spending the Renown you gain through your progression in the game. Each of the Original Operators cost 12 500 Renown, which represents approximately 15 hours of playtime. Renown-boosting daily and weekly challenges and weekly operator discount will offer you opportunities to unlock the remaining Original Operators faster.

Alternatively, you can instantly unlock  each Original Operators individually for 300 R6 Credits or in bundles. The 4920 R6 Credits pack will thus allow you to instantly unlock all the remaining Attackers and Defenders, as well as the additional content of your choice.

The Seasonal Operators released with the Black Ice update (JTF2) and the Dust Line update (Navy SEALs) are available to owners of the Starter Edition under the same conditions as for the owners of the Standard Edition. They can be unlocked for 25 000 Renown or 600 R6 Credits. Similarly, getting the Season Pass will give you instant access to all Seasonal Operators from Black Ice, Dust Line and the other two major updates planned for this year.
