Challenger League Kickoff

Introduced at the start of the Year, the Challenger League is a new division of our competition program that will bring an entirely new dynamic to Rainbow Six esports. This newest layer of competition allows teams to train and compete at a higher level than they normally would in a Go4. This also gives teams the opportunity to potentially qualify as a Pro League team: the Challenger League is now the only way for teams to earn their place into the Rainbow Six Pro League.

Platforms

The road to qualifying for the Challenger League

We hosted open qualifiers with a large pool of registered players, where the top 8 teams were decided. These 8 teams then faced off in the Final Qualifiers to determine who would qualify for the Pro League or be relegated to the Challenger League.

The teams that placed 1st to 4th in this final qualifier guaranteed their spot in the Rainbow Six Pro League. The teams that ranked 5th to 8th secured themselves a spot in the Challenger League.

Two open tournaments took place over March 09 and March 11. The 1st and 2nd place winners from both days of competition earned their place within the Challenger League.

This makes for a total of 24 teams in the Challenger League: eight teams for Europe, North America, and Latin America.

How to follow the Challenger League

The Challenger League is not something you should take lightly as these teams are fighting for a future spot in the Pro League.  In fact, the Challenger League is now the only way for teams to earn their place into the Rainbow Six Pro League.

The European and North American matches will be casted by community contributors Milosh and mzo on their Twitch channels every Monday and Thusday respectively.

Watch the European Challenger League on Mondays with Milosh: here

Watch the North American Challenger League on Thursdays with mzo: here.
