Qualifiers for the Six Invitational start on December 6th

Rainbow Six: Siege players should mark December 6th on their calendar since it’s the starting date of the Six Invitational qualifiers!

Europe, North America & Latin America

It’s been quite a while since we last posted anything about the upcoming Six Invitational, but we finally got some great news for you. The qualifiers for the biggest Rainbow Six: Siege tournament ever will kick off on December 6th in Europe, North America and Latin America!

This time we decided to use a totally new qualifier system for Rainbow Six: Siege. Firstly, participating teams will battle it out against each other in a ladder, w . Instant Challenger is a smart matchmaking system that automatically selects your opponent and, depending on who you faced and the result of said game, you lose or gain certain number of points. It’s basically an ELO system. Each match in the ladder will be a Bo3 game. What’s very important, using Instant Challenger system is the only way to find a match on our ladder.

Ladders in each region will be available only during certain times. From Monday until Friday they will be open on:

  • Europe: 18:00 - 00:00 CET
  • North America: 16:00 - 00:00 PST / 19:00 - 03:00 EST
  • Latin America: 18:00 - 00:00 BRST

While during the weekends you will be able to find a match on:

  • Europe: 14:00 - 00:00 CET
  • North America: 12:00 - 00:00 PST / 15:00 - 03:00 EST
  • Latin America: 14:00 - 00:00 CET

Signups for the ladder in each of the three regions are already open:

Qualifier structure

Sixteen teams with the highest number of points will then make it to the single-elimination play-offs, where all games, aside from the grand final, will use the Bo3 system. The deciding game of the qualifier will be a Bo5. The winners of each qualifier play-offs - European, North American and Latin American - will make it to Six Invitational, which will take place on February 16-18th, 2018 in Montreal, Canada.

APAC

APAC will have their separate qualifier with a structure that fits that region best.. Each of four sub-regions (Japan, South-East Asia, South Korea and Australia-New Zealand) will have their own online open qualifier cup and winner of each will then go to the APAC Six Invitational Offline Qualifier. The best team of the Offline Qualifier will make it to the Six Invitational in Montreal. More details about the APAC Qualifier will be released in the upcoming days.
